政府將就《預防及控制疾病（規定及指示）（業務及處所）規例》（第599F章）、《預防及控制疾病（禁止羣組聚集）規例》（第599G章）及《預防及控制疾病（佩戴口罩）規例》（第599I章）下的修訂、指示及指明刊憲，基本上維持大部分現行的社交距離措施，並引入「活動場所」作為新一類表列處所，更清晰地列明適用於個別活動的限制及規定，讓社交及經濟活動繼續在可控的情況下有序地恢復。這些指示及指明將由7月22日凌晨零時起生效，為期14天，直至8月4日（指明期間）。 食物及衞生局發言人表示：「在過去一段時間，不少社交及經濟活動已經在兩個階段的『疫苗氣泡』放寬社交距離措施下陸續恢復，讓市民大眾可以慢慢回復正常生活。」 「然而，我們留意到巿民未必完全清晰了解個別活動，尤其是一些在一般公眾可以使用的場所舉行的閉門活動所需要遵從的限制及規定。為了更清晰地列明有關規定，並確保參與性質類同活動時所需要遵從的規定更為一致，政府將引入『活動場所』作為新一類表列處所，讓會議、論壇、研討會、展覽、典禮及慶祝活動等指明活動（包括婚禮及若干商務會議）能在採取相關防控感染措施下進行。我們相信有關安排能在盡量減低公共衞生風險的同時，讓活動組織者更能掌握適用於有關活動的限制及規定，從而在疫情穩定的期間繼續有序地恢復社交及經濟活動。」 有關新增之防疫措施詳情，請瀏覽香港特別行政區政府憲報公告︰ https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/chi/social_distancing-faq.html
